In 2024, Yousefi received the Royal Photographic Society Award for Achievement in the Art of Photography in recognition of a notable personal contribution to the field. He was also selected as a 2024 Foam Talent winner. His project Eyes Dazzle as They Search for the Truth was shortlisted for the 2022 Carte Blanche Awards at Paris Photo and later shown at the 2023 Unseen Art Fair in Amsterdam. He has delivered guest lectures at Université du Québec, the University of Neyshabour, and the University of Semnan. His work has been presented internationally, including Community at Museum Kunstpalast, Düsseldorf (2026), and Documents at Fotografisk Center, Copenhagen (2025), as well as exhibitions and festivals such as the Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation, Frankfurt (2025), Belfast Photo Festival (2024), Athens Photo Festival (2024), Kranj Photo Festival (2024), Circulation(s) at Centquatre Paris, and Peckham 24 (2024). His photobook Eyes Dazzle as They Search for the Truth, with a text by David Campany, is forthcoming with Luhz Press (2026).
Alongside his artistic practice, Yousefi works across curating and writing as connected forms of inquiry. He is Assistant Curator and Editor of Photography+ at Photoworks UK, where he contributes to the development of exhibitions, commissions, and public programmes across photography and lens-based media. His curatorial work engages questions of image circulation, archival politics, and the conditions through which meaning is produced in exhibition contexts. Recent curatorial projects include Jerwood/Photoworks Awards 5 (Drawing Room, London, 2026), What Did You Want to See? by Mahtab Hussain (IKON Gallery, Birmingham, 2025), Stone Circles: Community and Heritage (Stonehenge, English Heritage, 2025), Boomsatsuma (Photo|Frome, Silk Mill Gallery, Bristol, 2025), and Poison Date, Kill Algorithms by Marcel Top (Post Creatives, Brighton, 2025).
